This is NOT a disco inferno, it’s a REAL inferno. I can see these plumes of smoke from my front yard, and it looks like a friggin volcano erupting. Also it is shooting all kinds of ash into the air making me sneeze constantly and covering my car with volcano dandruff. I hear two firefighters were killed, which is a damn shame. The world is goin crazy.

Mr. Brainwash is washing you

Just been a bit preoccupied with real life stuff. Nothing bad, just enough of it to keep me distracted. The good news is that there will be some new GOSHone songs creeping over the horizon. The first song will ALSO be accompanied by a hot shit music video! It is kind of a secret, but since no one really reads this blog, I will spoil the surprise… I made the music video track using Beatmaker on my iPhone! And it sounds sick (hint hint)! You will also see the return of the lovely Bexy on that track, so those who liked her on ‘flowinabout’ on my first album, definitely stay tuned for this one.

Check out my new video for Newteknowledge, shot entirely on my iPhone 3G.

I used Cycorder to shoot everything. This app rocks, but you can only use it if your phone is jailbroken, so go out and jailbreak your iPhone - you will thank me later. After Effects was used to edit the video because Final Cut didn’t like the resolution and frame rate that came out of Cycorder. I particularly like the look of the footage when it gets all warpy because the sensor can’t keep up with the motion. It kind of has this retro/film/stopmotion feel. The song is off my new album “ctrl_alt_ego”, which has so much more geeky goodness dripped on some sick hip-hop beats, produced by yours truly. You can get it here for FREE!!! So, for all those concerned, my full-length debut album is finished mixing and delivers to get it mastered. It is a big step in the evolution of my music, simply because I have managed to actually finish something. There will be a more official announcement coming soon, but I haven’t blogged recently, so I figured I would post something to wet your appetite (all five of you that read this). Estimated release date of “ctrl_alt_ego” will be October 22.

Back on the blog

Ok, let’s try this again. So I finally upgraded my wordpress so that I could past from my new iPhone. It was kinda easier from my previous phone, the wonderful Nokia N95, but we will see how it goes from here on out.

The reason it took me so long to take the plunge into v2.6 is because the upgrade instructions made it seem like “if something goes wrong during installation” my site would be doomed. Needless to say, all is well (you are reading this post from the bathroom, aren’t you).

Album update - if anyone cares, the debut album is really really almost there. I started to compile all the current mixes and found some of them in need of a lil love. I hate to keep working on this, but shit has gotta be TIGHT! Stay tuned, true believers.
